Tea Rose Marigold-Jasmine

# 16431 Categories , Tags , ,

 5-15 min    90-95°C    1/1l

The tea material is carefully produced and stored in spring. The marigolds come from Neimenggu (Mongolia), the jasmine flowers from Hengxian in Guangxi. In Fujian Fuan, the flowers and tea are threaded individually by hand and then artfully dried as tea balls.

In China, tea flowers are given as gifts on particularly festive occasions, such as weddings. The tea material is carefully tied together with cotton thread into small bouquets or balls – a process that can take up to 15 min per tea rose, depending on the complexity of the design.

Ingredients: Green tea, marigold flowers, jasmine flowers

Character: Jasmine, fruity, sweet, mild
Growing Area: Yunnan, Pu-Erh
Leaf: Silvery green-yellow, buds and first leaves rolled into a ball
Cup: Golden yellow to green, rich

Preparation:
Place the tea flower in a glass teapot and pour 1 litre of boiling water (ideally 90° to 95°C) over it. Within 3-5 minutes, the tea rose unfolds to its true glory. At the same time, the tea and flowers release their aromas into the hot water and an aromatic tea is created. It can be enjoyed after only 5-8 minutes of infusion (8-15 minutes are recommended for a strong tea with full aroma). A single tea flower can be brewed two to three times without the tea becoming bitter.
